Observation of the Isovector Giant Monopole Resonance via the ²⁸Si(¹⁰Be, ¹⁰B^*[1.74 MeV]) Reaction at 100 A MeV

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁸Si(¹⁰Be, ¹⁰B'), E=100 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, Eγ, Iγ. ²⁸Al, ¹⁰B; deduced σ(θ, E), σ(θ), isobaric analog state in ¹⁰B, excitation-energy spectrum in ²⁸Al, monopole and dipole contributions and the isovector giant dipole resonance and isovector giant monopole resonance (IVGMR). Comparison with theoretical calculations.
