Observation of large missing-momentum (e, e'p) cross-section scaling and the onset of correlated-pair dominance in nuclei

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 2H, 12C, 27Al, 208Pb(e, e'p), E=5.01 GeV; measured scattered electrons, Eβ, Iβ, Ep, Ip, pβ-coin; deduced σ ratio on carbon, aluminum, iron, and lead relative to deuterium, missing mass distribution. Comparison to generalized contact formalism (GCF) calculations. Measurement allowed isolating interactions with short-range correlated pairs in extended kinematical regime. Generalized contact formalism analysis of the 4He(e, e'pN) reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 4He(e-, X), E not given; analyzed available data; deduced that kinematic distributions, such as the reconstructed pair opening angle, recoil neutron momentum distribution, and pair center of mass motion, as well as the measured missing energy, missing mass distributions, are all well reproduced by the Generalized Contact Formalism (GCF) calculations.
