Coulomb Excitation of the K(π) = 16⁺ Rotational Band in ¹⁷⁸Hf

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ^{176,177,179,178}Hf(²⁰⁸Pb, ²⁰⁸Pb'), E=4.77 MeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ, (particle)(particle)γ-coin following Coulomb excitation. ¹⁷⁸Hf deduced level, J, π, intrinsic quadrupole moment. Rigid rotor model. Stable Hf targets, ¹⁷⁸Hf target in a high-spin isomeric state.
