NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴¹Pr(¹¹B, 4n), E=50.5 MeV; measured Doppler-shifted Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. ¹⁴⁸Gd levels deduced T_1/2, transition strengths, configurations. Recoil-distance technique. Systematics in neighboring nuclides discussed.

Multiple Octupole Excitations in ¹⁴⁸Gd

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²⁴Sn(²⁸Si, 4n), E=125 MeV; ¹⁴¹Pr(¹¹B, 4n), E=49 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, DSA. ¹⁴⁸Gd deduced high-spin levels, J, π, T_1/2, B(E3). Comparison with shell model calculations. GASP and Euroball arrays.
