New Coulomb barrier scaling law with reference to the synthesis of superheavy elements

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 198Pt, 208Pb, 209Bi, 249Cm(136Xe, X), 198Pt(204Hg, X), 208Pb, 238U, 248Cm, 249Cf(238U, X), E not given; deduced Coulomb barrier height. Barrier information is extracted from the experimental fusion excitation functions by the empirical cross section formula, which is based on a single-Gaussian distribution of fusion barrier heights.
