Selectivity of the one-neutron knockout reaction on ⁴⁵Cl and the collapse of the N = 28 shell closure

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹Be(⁴⁵Cl, ⁴⁴Cl), E=99.6 MeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ, (particle)γ-coin and parallel momentum distributions. ⁴⁴Cl; deduced levels, J, π, half-life, cross section. One-neutron knockout reaction. Comparison with shell model calculations.
