NUCLEAR REACTIONS 1H, 12C, 16O, 28Si(α, X), E=70-220 MeV/nucleon; measured reaction products, σ(E) for mass and charge changing reactions using ΔE-E scintillator telescope for particle detection, and targets of C, CH2, Si, SiO2 and H2O; optimization of Tripathi parametrization for total reaction σ. Comparison with previous experimental data and models. Relevance to radiation transport calculations in ion-beam radiotherapy.

Measurement of charge- and mass-changing cross sections for 4He + 12C collisions in the energy range 80-220 MeV/u for applications in ion beam therapy

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(α, X), (α, 3He), E=90, 130, 180, 220 MeV/nucleon; measured spectra of 1H, 3,4He and 12C ions, σ(E, ΔA), σ(E, ΔZ), σ(E, 3He), at the Heidelberg Ion Beam Therapy Center (HIT). Comparison with previous experimental data, and with model calculations. Relevance to hadron radiotherapy and clinical applications.
