HF+FR-DWBA analysis of σ(θ) data. 12C(α, α'), E(cm)=1-5 MeV; analyzed data by R-matrix analysis; deduced E2 and E1 components. 12C(α, γ)16O, E(cm)=0.3-3.5 MeV; deduced astrophysical S factor with R-matrix calculations of the E2 and E1 components. Comparison with earlier results and NACRE evaluation. RADIOACTIVITY 16N(β-); analyzed β-delayed α spectrum by R-matrix fit for validation purpose.
