Indirect study of the 12C(α, γ)16O reaction via the 12C(7Li, t)16O transfer reaction

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(7Li, t)16O, E=28, 34 MeV; measured E(t), I(t), σ(θ) using Enge split-pole magnetic spectrometer; deduced levels, J, π, yields, width, spectroscopic factors, ANC, α-reduced width. HF+FR-DWBA analysis of σ(θ) data. 12C(α, α'), E(cm)=1-5 MeV; analyzed data by R-matrix analysis; deduced E2 and E1 components. 12C(α, γ)16O, E(cm)=0.3-3.5 MeV; deduced astrophysical S factor with R-matrix calculations of the E2 and E1 components. Comparison with earlier results and NACRE evaluation.

RADIOACTIVITY 16N(β-); analyzed β-delayed α spectrum by R-matrix fit for validation purpose.
