Jπ(level): From a comparison between experimental and theoretical angular distributions of (t,α) cross sections, and from analyzing powers measured in the (pol t,α) reaction. Nilsson orbitals were assigned mainly on the basis of systematics of the same orbitals in other odd-mass Re isotopes.

Q(α)-value uncertainty estimated by 2003Au03 as 200 keV.
Production: Be(197Au, x) (1999Be63); Be(208Pb, x) E=1 GeV/nucleon (2005Ca02).
Levels: 2005Ca02 found evidence for an isomer with T1/2 in the range 1-75 μs in γ-γ and particle-γ coincidence in Be(208Pb, x), E=1 GeV/nucleon; forward-focusing spectrometer. Observed γ-rays at 53; 139; 159; 226; 308; 360; 419 and 444 keV and Re K x-rays (61 and 69 keV) in the delayed spectrum.
