General Comments:

Identification: 169Re is known as the α-decay parent of 165Ta and the α-decay daughter of 173Ir. See comment below for assignment of 169Re (15.1 s) to an isomer.

Theory (partial list):

2011Pr17: calculation of band structure and deformation using deformed Hartree-Fock and angular momentum projection theory.

Notation for quasiparticle orbits:

ν i13/2: α, B, C, d.

ν h9/2: E, F.

π h11/2: Ep, Fp.

Levels: band(a) 9/2[514], α=-1/2 band (2002Zh42). See comment on signature partner band.

Levels: band(c) α=-1/2, 3 QUASIPARTICLE band (2002Zh42). Configuration=(π 9/2[514])#(ν i13/2)(ν f7/2 or h9/2). See comment on signature partner band.

Levels: band(e) π 5/2[402] band, α=-1/2. See comment on signature partner band.

Levels: band(f) π h11/2 ν AE band, α=-1/2. See comment on signature partner band.

Levels: band(g) π h9/2 ν AE band, α=-1/2. Decoupled sequence. Lowest level feeds J=25/2 and 27/2 states. Initial alignment 2-3 h larger than that of πh11/2 νAE band; crossing at 0.37 MeV, between expectations for βc and Cd alignments. Larger deformation driven by π h9/2 may delay βc crossing.
