  A  168Hf ε decay  B  159Tb(13C,4nγ),
  C  168Lu IT decay 

General Comments:

α T1/2≈2 h activity (Eγ≈88), attributed to 168Lu by 1961Gr08 and possibly also seen by 1969Wi08, was not confirmed by 1966Ha23 or 1972Ch44, and 1983Zy02 report a negative result from their search for new 168Lu isomers with T1/2>2 min using (HI,xnγ) reactions. The evaluator concludes that original attribution to 168Lu was incorrect, consistent with tentative conclusions by 1965Gr17.

For isotope shift data, see 1998Ge13.

Other Reactions:

159Tb(16O,α3nγ), E≈90 MeV (2007Si30): produced 6.7 min isomer; observed two known lines following ε decay.

Levels: band(a) Kπ=6+, α=1 band (2002Ha33). Configuration: (π 7/2[404])+(ν 5/2[642]). See comment on signature partner of this band.

Levels: band(b) Kπ=7-, α=1 band (2002Ha33). Configuration: (π 9/2[514])+(ν 5/2[642]). See comment on signature partner of this band. Lowest observed J=9.

Levels: band(c) Kπ=3-, α=1 band (2002Ha33). Configuration: (π 1/2[541])+(ν 5/2[642]). See comment on signature partner of this band. Lowest observed J=7.

Levels: band(d) Kπ=5+, α=1 band (2002Ha33). Configuration: (π 5/2[402])+(ν 5/2[642]). See comment on signature partner of this band. Lowest observed J=9.
