New measurement of the 3He(α, γ)7Be cross section at medium energies

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 4He(3He, γ)7Be, E=2507, 4010, 5312 keV; measured 7Be recoils, Eγ, Iγ, (recoil)γ-correlated events, σ, astrophysical S34(E) factor using activation method. Relevance to solar neutrino flux and the primordial 7Li abundance. Comparison with several previous measurements including ERNA data, and some theoretical calculations.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 4He(3He, γ), E=2.3-5.3 MeV; measured prompt Eγ, Iγ, β-delayed Eγ, Iγ from from 7Be EC decay, counting of 7Be ions; deduced S-factor.

Absence of low-temperature dependence of the decay of 7Be and 198Au in metallic hosts

RADIOACTIVITY 7Be(EC); 198Au(β-); measured dependence of decay rate on temperature. Be in Cu host, Au in Al-Au alloy. No evidence found for temperature dependence on half-life.
