Detailed description of exclusive muon capture rates using realistic two-body forces

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 28Si(μ-, ν)28Al, 32S(μ-, ν)32P, 48Ti(μ-, ν)48Sc, 56Fe(μ-, ν)56Mn, 66Zn(μ-, ν)66Cu, 90Zr(μ-, ν)90Y, E*=0-30 MeV; calculated partial muon capture rates of different multipole transitions, total muon capture rates. Proton-neutron quasiparticle random-phase approximation (pn-QRPA) with Bonn C-D one-boson exchange potential as realistic nuclear force. Comparison with available experimental data. Relevance to muon capture experiments at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), Fermilab, Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex, and RCNP.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 56Mn, 90Y; calculated levels, J, π using pn-QRPA. Comparison with experimental data.
