Examination of experimental evidence of chaos in the bound states of ²⁰⁸Pb

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE ²⁰⁸Pb; analyzed spectral fluctuations from the recently identified complete set of 151 levels below 6.2 MeV in ²⁰⁸Pb with Jπ assignment with fits to Poisson and Brody distributions; deduced much stronger residual interaction for natural-parity states than that for unnatural-parity states. Comparison with predictions of Random matrix theory (RMT).
