Strangeness production in the new version of the Liege intranuclear cascade model

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Ca(p, X), E=1.7 GeV; calculated transverse momentum versus rapidity distribution. 12C(p, X), E=1.6, 1.7 GeV; calculated mean momentum of K+ particles. 208Pb(p, X), E=10 GeV; calculated mass distribution of hyper-remnants. C(p, X), E=1.6, 2.3 GeV; Nb, Au(p, X), E=3.5 GeV; Be, Al, Cu, Ta(p, X), E=1.280 GeV; 208Pb(p, X), E=2.1 GeV; 208Pb(d, X), E=2.1 GeV/nucleon; Be, Al, Cu, Au(p, X), E=13.7 GeV; C, Al, Cu, Sn, Pb(π-, X), E=1020 MeV; Be, C, Cu, Sn, Pb(p, X), E=800-1000 MeV; calculated differential σ(E), total σ(E) and angular distributions for production of K+, K0 and K- using Liege intranuclear cascade model (INCL ++6), and compared with experimental data from various collaborations: KaoS-GSI, ITEP-Russia, ANKE-Julich, LBL-Berkeley, HADES-GSI, FOPI-GSI, E-802-BNL, LINP-Russia. Implementation of INCL in the Geant4 transport code. Relevance to design of new experiments for the study of strange particles and hypernuclei at HypHI, Panda, and CBM experiments at the FAIR facility.
