Detailed spectroscopy of 110Cd: Evidence for weak mixing and the emergence of γ-soft behavior

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 110Cd(n, n'), E=2.1-3.4 MeV; analyzed Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, γ(θ), DSA data. 110Cd; deduced levels, J, π, half-lives, multipolarity, mixing ratio, B(E2).

RADIOACTIVITY 110In(β+), (EC)[from Ta(p, X), E=500 MeV]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, γe--coin, T1/2 at TRIUMF-ISAC facility. 110Cd; deduced levels, J, π, mixing ratio, B(E2). Systematics of low-lying 0+ levels and transition rates in 110,112,114,116Cd. No evidence for strong mixing of the intruder and nonintruder configurations. γ-soft or O(6)-type nucleus.
