Anomalous neutron yields confirmed for Ba-Mo and newly observed for Ce-Zr from spontaneous fission of ²⁵²Cf

RADIOACTIVITY ²⁵²Cf(SF); measured Eγ, Iγ, three- and four-fold γγ-coin using the Gammasphere array at LBNL; deduced fission yield matrices and neutron multiplicity yields of Ba(A=138-148)-Mo(A=100-110), Pd(A=110-118)-Te(A=130-138), Nd(A=148-156)-Sr(A=91-100), and Ce(A=144-152)-Zr(A=96-104) pairs of isotopes using up-to-date level schemes of relevant nuclei, and cross-checking of energies of the γ-transitions in multiple isotopes, possible hyperdeformation and octupole deformation at scission giving rise to high neutron multiplicities.
