High-energy γ rays resulting from low-energy nuclear reactions in light nuclei

NUCLEAR REACTIONS B(d, nγ), 10B(d, α), 11B(d, n), (d, α), (d, p), E=3.02 MeV; measured reaction products using activation analysis, high-energy Eγ, Iγ using HPGe detector. 12C; identified high-energy γ rays from levels in 12C populated in B(d, nγ) reaction. 10B(d, p), (d, n), (d, d'), (d, p), (d, n), (d, 3α), 11B(d, n3α), (d, n), (d, α), (d, d'), (d, p), E=3.02 MeV; calculated relative yield of reactions, percent yield, average energy, and energy range of reaction products (neutron to 17O) using GEANT4 code. Relevance to application as a viable source for nuclear security, active interrogation, and photofission techniques.
