NUCLEAR REACTIONS 9Be(36Si, 35Si), (36Si, 35Al), E=97.7 MeV/nucleon; 9Be(38Si, 37Si), (38Si, 37Al), E=86 MeV/nucleon; 9Be(40Si, 39Si), (40Si, 39Al), E=79 MeV/nucleon, [secondary beams of 36,38,40Si produced in 9Be(48Ca, X), E=140 MeV/nucleon primary reaction]; measured Doppler-shifted γ-ray spectra, Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (residue)γ-coin, (36Si)γ-coin using GRETINA array for γ detection and ionization chamber and plastic scintillators in the focal plane of S800 spectrograph at NSCL-MSU facility. 35,37,39Al, 35,37,39Si; deduced levels, J, π, parallel momentum distributions, l-values. 36,38,40Si; one-neutron and one-proton total and partial knockout σ, single-particle structure, and enhanced collectivity in the region of 42Si. Eikonal model analysis of parallel momentum distributions. Comparison with large-scale shell model calculations.
