Generalized Nuclear Data (GND) Formatted Files for the ENDF/B-VII.1 Evaluated Nuclear Data Library
On Nov. 12, 2011, members of the Computational Nuclear Physics group at LLNL released the 1.0 version of the Generalized Nuclear Data (GND) format and the FUDGE code system. The FUDGE code and GND format specifications are available on LLNL's Green Data Oasis and from the GND Project Page, hosted at the NNDC.
The Cross Section Evaluation Working Group (CSEWG) is considering GND as a replacement format for the aging ENDF-6 format. The Monday morning session of the Nov. 2011 Nuclear Data Week was devoted to GND and talks from this session are available. A "Quick Start" document is also available.
On this page, we present several ENDF/B-VII.1 sublibraries in their entirety as well as several important (and complex) examples of GND files. Unfortunately, the 1.0 release did not include support for the charged particle incident, decay, fission product yield, thermal neutron scattering or atomic sublibraries.

Having trouble viewing the XML files?
Fortunately, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome have excellent built-in facilities for viewing XML files. They should be enabled by default.
However, for Safari users, do the following:
- Safari → Preferences → Advanced → Show Develop menu in menu bar
- Develop → Show Web Inspector
Alternatively, save the XML files to disk and view with any number of XML editors including TextWrangler, Oxygen, Nedit and the built in viewers in the Eclipse, XCode or Komodo Integrated Development Environments.
