Mirror states in Li9 and C9

Abstract

I have used a potential model to examine mirror states in Li9 and C9. The mirror energy difference and observed widths of the supposed 7/2 states are consistent with dominant parentage to the 3+ excited state of Li8 and B8. The newly reported s-wave resonance at 4.3 MeV in C9 should have a mirror near Ex=5.39(38)MeV in Li9.
