Abstract
We investigate the ambiguity in the choice of different gauges for a relativistic single particle model of the inclusive reaction in the quasielastic region. Gauge ambiguities lead to different results due to the off-shellness for a bound nucleon. The difference between results using different gauges increases with energy transfer and is larger for heavier nuclei at the same incident electron energy. We compare the theoretical results with the experimental data measured at Bates, Saclay, and SLAC.
