Abstract
The nuclear reaction was measured at effective center-of-mass energies of and with the 180-kV Cockcroft-Walton accelerator at the Colorado School of Mines. As this reaction is a possible contributor to inhomogeneous big bang nucleosynthesis, all published data were compiled and used, together with our measurement, in a calculation of the thermonuclear reaction rate for temperatures up to
