Abstract
A soft dipole mode in the 11Li nucleus treated within the microscopic three-cluster model is studied in the asymptotic-potential approximation. The model faithfully reproduces the energy and the root-means-quare radius of the ground state and the behavior of the effective photodisintegration cross section at low energies above the threshold for 11Li breakup, suggesting the existence of two resonance states in this region.
