Abstract

We study the Coulomb energy shifts in mirror nuclei with the emphasis on the halo nuclei, 11Be and 11N. We find that even in such loosely bound nuclei the second- and higher-order Coulomb contributions are relatively small and the large relative Coulomb energy shifts are due to first order effects in the Coulomb interaction.
