Abstract

Yrast states of 106Sb have been investigated in the 54Fe(58Ni,αpn) reaction using in-beam γ-spectroscopic methods and in the 50Cr(58Ni,pn) reaction performing delayed γ and conversion electron studies. A new isomeric state was found at 103 keV with t1/2=232(21)ns. The number of states and transitions in the proposed level scheme have been doubled. The experimental results are discussed within the framework of the shell model.
