Abstract

The reaction Er168(d,2nγ) and conventional in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy have been used to assign, for the first time, many γ-ray transitions to Tm168. On the basis of γ-γ coincidence data, some of these observed γ rays are identified as transitions between the low-spin members of rotational bands in Tm168, specifically, those with Kπ=3+, (3), and (4±).
