Abstract
12C+12C resonances were successfully classified in the past using both dipole and quadrupole vibration-rotation based phenomenological models. The last such analysis was performed in 1983. Since then, more than 20 new resonances have been reported in 12C+12C. These resonances were incorporated in an extended analysis, the aim of which was to study the possible variations of the model parameters. The results confirm the stability of the parameter values against the inclusion of new data, thus strengthening the credibility of the models.
