Abstract

The Li6(α,α) reaction was studied at Eα=50 MeV. The angular distribution of the continuum region near the α6+d breakup threshold (1.475 MeV) was measured for θlab=7°–40°. The data were analyzed in terms of plane-wave and distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations. To study the possible effects of recombination of the breakup clusters in the exit channel, distorted-wave Born approximation calculations were also performed.
