Origin of the 13C+17O resonant structure

Abstract

Using particle techniques, we have been unable to reproduce the resonant structure in the inelastic channel of the 13C+17O reaction. The structure previously observed in the γ-ray yields for the 0.871-MeV transition is now believed to be due to a hydrogen contamination.
