E0 strength in C12 from Li6 scattering

Abstract

The (6Li,6Li) reaction was studied on C12 at ELi=156 MeV at extreme forward angles including θ=0°. Spectra were taken in the excitation energy region Ex≲30 MeV. E0 strength was deduced at Ex=7.65 MeV (9.5% energy weighted sum rule) around Ex=10.2 MeV (5%±1% energy weighted sum rule) and in the region 19 MeV≤Ex≤21.5 MeV (5%±2% energy weighted sum rule).
