Abstract
The (n,C excitation function at 90° has been measured for neutron energies from 6.5 to 18.5 MeV. Whereas previous measurements disagreed at the lower energies with a direct-semidirect capture calculation based on (p,N data, the present results, especially when the uncertainty in absolute cross section is considered, indicate reasonable qualitative agreement with the calculation.
