Previous calculations of the electric and magnetic form factors of ${}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}$ and ${}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{H}$ have included various theoretical ingredients (nucleon form factors, mesonic exchange currents, pion-nucleon vertices, etc., . . .). The bearing of these ingredients upon the nuclear current conservation equation is investigated.
