Abstract
The isospin-forbidden reaction d+d→He provides a very good test of the validity of charge symmetry. The forward differential cross section dσ/dΩ is estimated to be ≊0.12 pb/sr at a deuteron laboratory energy of 1.95 GeV. The assumed reaction mechanism is virtual η and η’ production and η and η’ mixing.
