Abstract

A total width Γc.m.=303±30 eV was found for the Jπ, T=(1/2),(3/2) level at 16.98 MeV in Be9 by employing high resolution beams of our 450 kV electrostatic accelerator. Partial widths of selected decay channels are given. A comparison with existing data of the lowest T=(3/2) level in the same nucleus as well as the ones in the mirror nucleus B9 is made. The results are discussed in terms of isospin mixing.
