Abstract
Realistic NN potentials like the Paris and the Bonn potential give different results for peripheral α-α phase shifts at low energy, with resulting consequences for the polarization of α particles. To study the hadronic α-α interaction in more detail, we have considered the Coulomb corrections to the phase shifts and compared them with model-independent predictions.
