Abstract

Assignments to the Kπ=02+,04+,05+, and 01 rotational bands of Ne20 (all characterized by large reduced width for alpha decay to the ground state of O16) are critically discussed. Some past assignments seem to be in error. The 05+ band is new. Promising candidates are suggested for gaps in the Kπ=1 and 2 bands. Verification of assignments and conjectures needs more work, both experimental and theoretical.
