We subject ${}_{}{}^{16}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{O}$ and ${}_{}{}^{80}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Zr}$ to varying degrees of initial compression by a constrained Hartree-Fock calculation; the subsequent behavior is investigated in the time-dependent Hartree-Fock prescription.
