Abstract

A polarized neutron beam has been used to measure the angular distribution of the analyzing power for the He3(n,γ)He4 reaction at En (Ex)=9.0 (27.3) MeV. The angular distribution of the cross section, obtained with an unpolarized beam, is combined with these data to obtain the bk coefficients. These coefficients are compared to the results of a previous measurement performed for the H3(p,γ)He4 reaction, and to the results of a recent continuum shell model calculation.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS He3(n,γ)He4, measured σ(θ) and A(θ) at En=9.0 MeV. Compared results to previous H3(p,γ)He4 measurements and to recent continuum shell model calculations.
