Abstract
Calculations of the band-head energies for the two-quasiparticle states in the doubly odd nucleus are carried out using the zero-range residual neutron-proton interaction with appropriate Nilsson model wave functions. The results are compared with the experimental data in respect to 14 such bands and the procedure is used to confirm the two-particle configuration assignments to such bands.
