Abstract

The reaction C12(t,p) leading to the ground and 6.59-MeV 0+ states of C14 provides a quantitative measure of 0.35 ± 0.02 for the amplitude of sd-shell excitation in C14 (g.s.).

NUCLEAR REACTIONS C12 (t,p), E=18 MeV, measured σ(θ), DWBA analysis, determined C14 (g.s.) wave function components.
