Energy shift effects in pion-nucleus charge exchange

Abstract

The effect of the shift of the effective energy of the pion-nucleon amplitude on the pion-nucleus charge exchange due to isospin splitting of the core is investigated. Calculations are done in both plane wave and distorted wave frameworks.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS C13(π+,π0)N13, E=162 MeV, calculated σ(θ).
