Abstract
Angular distributions and excitation functions for the elastic and inelastic (, 1.81 MeV) scattering of ions by have been measured in the energy range from 22 up to 50 MeV. The data were analyzed in the coupled channel scheme with different potentials. The inelastic scattering data are found to be important to distinguish between optical model parameter sets. The deformation parameter is extracted and found to be potential dependent. It is compared to the Coulomb deformation .
