Abstract

The reaction N14(γ,π)Og.s.14 is calculated within the framework of the distorted wave impulse approximation and the results compared to activation measurements. Investigations are made of the energy dependence of the pion momentum dependent terms in the single particle amplitude and the effects of the nuclear wave function and pion optical potential on total cross sections.

NUCLEAR REACTION N14(γ,π)O14. Activation method. E0=150700 MeV; measured σq, deduced σk; calculated σk. Ge(Li) detector.
