Differential muon-capture rate for the reaction μ+Li6H3+H3+νμ

Abstract

The differential muon-capture rate dΓdΩ(Li6+μH3+H3+νμ) as a function of angle between the outgoing tritons is calculated by the use of the elementary particle model. The total capture rate for the same reaction but with the neutrino energy limited between 0 and 29.8 MeV is also calculated as is the rate dΓdν under the same limitation. The reaction is also discussed as a candidate for determining a better limit on the muon-neutrino mass.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS Muon capture Li6 (μ,νu)H33H calculated dΓdΩ, 0°θ180° and, Γ, dΓdν for Eν29.8 MeV.
