Abstract

The coefficients α in the alignment-correlation terms aαEP2(cosθ), in B12 and N12 decays have been determined; α(B12)=+(0.006±0.018)%/MeV and α+(N12)=(0.273±0.041)%/MeV. The sign of α+(N12) was determined for the first time, by use of an NMR method and measurements on βγ correlation in aligned N12. The αα+ result is consistent with strong conservation of vector currents without second-class currents and the α+α+ result gives unique information on the time component of the axial-vector current.
