Analyzing power of two-step (p,t) reaction leading to the unnatural-parity state

Abstract

A two-step interpretation for the observed analyzing power of O18(p,t)O16(2, 8.88 MeV) reaction at 24.4 MeV is reported. The result supports a two-step excitation mechanism for the unnatural-parity state transitions.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS O18(p,t) O16(2, 8.88 MeV), Ep=24.4 MeV; calculated σ(θ) and A(θ); second-order DWBA analysis.
