Abstract

The decay of Cu61 to levels of Ni61 and the decay of Cu67 and Ga67 to levels of Zn67 have been studied in detail. The half-life of Ga67 is measured to be 3.261 ± 0.001 days. Also, absolute intensities are reported for the γ rays from the decay of Ga67. Transition probabilities are calculated for Ni61 using a shell model and a modified surface δ interaction.

RADIOACTIVITY Chemically separated sources; measured Eγ, Iγ, deduced Ni61 and Zn67 levels J, π; Compton suppression.
