Maximum fusion cross section for the system C12 + O17

Abstract

The total fusion cross section for the sytem C12 + O17 has been measured in the energy region between Ec.m.=14 MeV and 33 MeV. A maximum fusion cross section of 1200±50 mb was obtained in good agreement with the results for other systems in this mass range.
